Welcome to my little website for my math tutoring services.
Among other things, I tutor math in Boston and Cambridge. I have been tutoring since 2000, starting with SAT1 and SAT2 math and course help for High School Students.
I have since transitioned to tutoring math and related skills for the quantitative portion of the GRE General Test and for College math courses.
I have helped over 50 students and those seeking to return to the academic world for graduate school.
.
I tend to heavily leverage the 1-on-1 nature of tutoring, and I do not stand up and lecture for long periods of time. I encourage interaction and dialog, with both teacher and student explaining concepts and solving problems for each other. I strongly believe this dynamic setting yields results unmatched by typical classroom test-prep services.
.
Many prospective students ask, so I may as well say:
I achieved a perfect score on the SAT2c Math and the GRE quantitative section.
My undergraduate was in Math at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Below are some testimonials and comments from former and current students:

Stephen helped me to raise my GRE scores close to 300 points in less than 1 month. A very patient person with a great memory for what needed to be worked on each time we met, we were productive from the minute I walked in to the moment I left.
I had not studied math since HS (I studied logic through college) and he really helped me, as a novice math student, with all concepts of mathematics.
As a teacher myself, Stephen is a highly recommended tutor.

Stephen is an amazing tutor! I actually decided to take advantage of his relatively inexpensive tutoring when I needed to get caught up in a math class fast. I had actually been about two monthes behind and thanks to his amazing tutoring I was able to place into the next class and out from the stagnation of having failed the last one three times.
He makes tutoring fun and enjoyable and is one of the brightest people I have ever come across. If you get the chance to have him tutor you take it up because you will truly not be sorry.
